Tyler, The Creator is a fan. The US rapper declared "Tombola 94" his favorite track of 2022. The song is by a band with the strange-sounding name Dina Ögon. The latest Turkish pop hype? Not at all: the quartet around singer Anna Ahnlund hails from Stockholm, Sweden, and their name means "your eyes". The foursome has little to do with hip hop. Dina Ögon internalized a late summer-coloured sound between catchy pop, easy soul and gentle bossa-jazz. Their third album does little to change the charming recipe for success: warm bass, echoing guitars and soft piano - a touch of Fleetwood Mac here, a dab of Khruangbin there. Music for nights where the sun never sets.
